What style of roof should you choose?  Flat Pan vs "W" Pan Design - There is not clear cut choice when choosing the type of pan you want. Flat Pan  Patio Covers offer a clean looking flat ceiling over the "W" Pan. "W" Pans offer a decorative design and can span  further over the Flat Pan design. Flat Pan Patio Covers are more expensive then "W" Pans until you reach 15  foot projection (projection = distance out from the house wall). The "W" Pans are more expensive because the  metal has increased in thickness and the Flat Pan has not.
